Thank you for volunteering for the Music in Motion 5K! Volunteers--YOU-- are the people who make the event a success! There are a number of areas in which you can choose to volunteer.

 

PRE-RACE DAY VOLUNTEERING:
Sponsorship and Door Prizes:  Any event benefits from sponsors. We are always looking for additional sponsors. If you know of a person or company willing to sponsor this event, please have them contact Barb Lauff. Also, area businesses are encouraged to become involved by donating a door prize or two. We can arrange to pick up door-prizes, or you can drop off door prizes at Westwood. Thank you for any assistance in this area you can give!
Packet building and packet pick-up:  Volunteers get together the day before the event to build and distribute packets for the participants.  Packet building will take place on Friday, August 8th, 2:00pm-4:00pm at Westwood on the indoor track.  Packet pick-up will be from 4:00pm-6:00pm (same day/ location). You can volunteer from 2:00pm-4:00pm, 4:00pm-6:00pm, or stay the whole time to help Barb and make her a happy director from 2:00pm-6:00pm.

RACE DAY VOLUNTEERING: 
Inside activities:  Inside activities include distributing t-shirts, race packets, organizing door prizes, organizing the silent pie auction, registration, and other tables requiring personnel.

Outdoor activities:  Outdoor activities include parking, course control, working the finish line, assisting with the Kids' Rhythm Run, and other needs. If you volunteer for outdoors, please be prepared for weather conditions, which may range from rain to heat. And please also commit to your post, despite any inclement weather. Thank you!
